ABOUT DEB

Deb Chaney, artist and author, lives in Santa Barbara, California. Originally from Vancouver, Canada, she studied Earth and Ocean Sciences at the University of Victoria and then spent several years wandering the planet by foot, bicycle, and sailboat. During this time she sketched and drew in her journals, envisioning her dream to sell and exhibit her art.

Her art is a mirror of herself, constantly changing and evolving. Currently she works in mixed media and acrylics on canvas, using colour and texture to allow her abstract paintings to emerge and unfold.

She is the author of The Little Inspiration Book - ideas to empower women (Trafford Publishing, June 2002) and a contributing author to Sand in My Bra & Other Misadventures - funny women write from the road (Traveler’s Tales, April 2003).

Her personal vision is to empower women to live their dreams.
